Dr. 劳拉 Rosow is a neurologist who cares for patients with a variety of neuromuscular disorders, including neuropathy; myopathy; neuromuscular junction disorders, such as myasthenia gravis; and motor neuron diseases. As associate director of the UCSF ALS and Neurodegenerative Disease Center, she cares for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and related conditions. She has expertise in performing electromyography and nerve conduction studies (diagnostic tests that assess electrical activity in muscles and nerves) as well as skin biopsies. She also works in satellite clinics in Santa Rosa and Monterey to help expand access to ALS treatment and is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients from rural and underserved areas.
在研究, Rosow is interested in the development of new therapies for various neuromuscular conditions. She serves as principal investigator for multiple clinical trials (studies using human volunteers) at UCSF.
Rosow earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. 她在加州大学旧金山分校完成了神经学实习, followed by a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
